Update on Life and Work

Hi friends! It’s been a while since we last spoke, and I wanted to give you an update on what’s been going on in my life and work.

The last few months have been a bit challenging . We all have our ups and downs and sometimes the downs go by fast, and then again sometimes they keep buzzing around your head like a mosquito. I had a big fat one to get rid off, so it took a while 😁

We moved house in December, just before the holidays, and while we still live in beautiful Portugal, the move wasn’t without its challenges (think: short deadline, a house that needed things done, heavy rainstorms causing floods like never seen before in Portugal…). My mental state was already fragile, and this set me off on a downward spiral.

But things are much better now and I’m excited to share some news with you!

Since moving to Portugal (over 3 years ago), I’ve written two thrillers that I’m incredibly proud of. Last year, the translation rights for both books were bought by a US publisher, and I’m thrilled to announce that this summer, they will be available in English!

The first book, “ALONE,” will be released in July, followed by “ROAD TRIP TO NOWHERE” in August. It’s hard to express how excited I am to share these stories with a wider audience. It’s a dream come true! This is what the cover will look like:

Of course, I’ll be keeping you all updated on the pre-orders and release dates, but if you’re interested in supporting me and my writing, I would love for you to add “ALONE” to your Goodreads “want to read” list or post a review if you’ve read the Dutch version. Your support means everything to me, and with a little help from my friends, I’m hoping to give the book a little extra light to shine.

I know that I’m just a small fish in a big pond, but I’m committed to sharing my stories with anyone who will read them. Writing is my passion, and I hope that by sharing my path and my struggles I can inspire you to pursue your own dreams and passions.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout this journey. Writing can be a lonely pursuit, but knowing that I have a community of people cheering me on makes all the difference. I am forever grateful for your friendship and support.

Ps: Don’t worry, I don’t usually walk around with a bottle of wine in my pocket, only when I’m really thirsty. 😉
